New Year Magic

Each new year we get an opportunity to start fresh, change what we don't like and bring in what we desire. Yet, for many of us these new years resolutions do not last. The reason is simple, if you don't clear out a space for the new, it won't be able to fit. If you buy a new car but don't move the old one out of the garage first, there won't be any room for the new car, new behaviors are the same.

For example, you may want to quit smoking, and you have very good reasons for it, it is unhealthy and expensive, yet unless you get to the root of your reason for smoking you will be battling yourself and often you won't win. Even if you do actually quit keeping yourself from taking up smoking again can be difficult when you don't deal with your underlying issues.

To get to the root of any problem the fastest way is to sit with the problem, and ask yourself how it makes you feel. What emotions comes up? Why do I smoke? What feelings arise when you ask yourself this....to feel calm, so stress is the issue. Stress has more than one emotion so you would want to track it further...anxiety, worry, the need to take a time out. There, now you have unraveled the problem. You come to see there are several causes and the emotional responses for these causes are creating a trigger to your smoking. The next step is to ask yourself what can I do instead of smoking that can satisfy me, in this case calm me down?  Exercise, walking, yoga, breathing, meditating, being creative, playing music or writing, painting, making jewelry all of these can be used to deal with the stress that leads to your smoking. There are likely more layers of issues such as why you started in the first place and how you feel about smoking. All can be explored to help you better understand why this arrived in your life and how to work through it.

Addiction is a complex issue, it has a physical component that is at first the hardest to deal with. In the case of smoking you might consider nicotine gum or patches to help deal with urges. Yet, if you really want to work through an addiction understanding the cause helps in letting go of this old habit and moving forward into a fresh, open space in the present where you are free from the addition, the habit and the guilt and stress that it creates by being in your life. You see the stress that leads you to smoke also creates more stress of its own kind so that it is really a vicious circle and nothing is really made better. The only way to make it better is to rid yourself of the damaging pattern once and for all.

Harness the New Year energy, while many others are doing the same thing you can ride the collective energetic wave and it will be that much easier.

Let 2015 be your year to shine!

Do You Believe In Miracles?

So there I was living my life, trying to maintain a spiritual ground but really freaking out on the inside on a daily basis because of several dramas that were playing out in my life. When, suddenly a miracle happened to me. It doesn't matter what my miracles is, truly there are several if I think about them. What matters is that I clearly saw how everything is in perfect order. The only thing that stops us, is us. If we are in a place of lack, for example, we can block out miracles. Then again, if we are allowing for life to show up and bring us new avenues to explore and new pathways to walk then we never know what we might find.

The joy is in discovery, the wisdom is in the joy.

What is it that blocks us from miracles? So many people are wounded, it seems we are born even with wounds. Then we live our lives and more wounds occur. After a time life becomes heavy and it is hard to remain upbeat. This is like the teaching of the Buddha, life is suffering. Then, we start to question who is having this experience? Am I the dreamer or the dream? We start to ask and when we do we begin to open our eyes. We begin our exploration, we take to our spiritual path.

Yet, the old ways are habits made hard to break. This is where we need miracles. We need them in the form of solutions and answers, we find them through others and we experience them in gratitude.

What is a miracle? Anything that spontaneously and completely changes your perspective for the better. Want a miracle? Ask. It is as simple as that. If you find it not being simple you are getting in your own way.

For anyone who is a sports fan, you know what I mean by believing in miracles. There is something magical about your team going to the playoffs and advancing. It is a collective miracle experience These can happen in our individual lives as well. Invite miracles into your life and you will be amazed at what shows up.

What Are You Doing Now?

I was in the middle of another multi tasking whirlwind not long ago and it hit me, I asked myself why are you doing this in this manner? I noticed how each thing I had to do felt like a chore, something to hurry and get through. I realized that this is how I live my life. I am always in the future moment, busily planning my actions and robbing myself of the present moment. When I study, I do it to get it done, when I clean, cook, eat, work, walk my dog, all of it is done so that I can get it over with and do...what? A few things come to mind, relax, unplug, write, listen to music, meditate. Yet, so often my state of mind is in such a frantic pace that I am too wound up to really enjoy these things. I know I am not alone.

Our culture praises the over achiever, it worships the workaholic, time out for yourself, slowing down your pace, reflection, these are things to do when you retire. Our culture is so work based that it has lost an integral part of what it means to be alive. We are alive but we are not living. We are working, working, working. It feels good to work we are productive, it validates us, makes us redeemable and qualifies us as one of the norm. This includes stay at home moms, the underemployed, self employed and so on. Work is work. Yet I ask, where is the rest? We are multi-tasking ourselves into the ground and I don't know if has occurred to anyone to hit the panic button.

Here in America our puritan based culture is a young one, we haven't really evolved into the philosophic nature of our American souls yet. If the early settlers had had the intelligence to embrace rather than to obliterate the indigenous cultures that existed here in our country for centuries before European arrival this entire topic would likely not be necessary. For the philosophies of the American Indian are exactly the ones we need to adopt into mainstream society. That, sadly, tragically did not happen. We are left then with the notion that it is always best to forge ahead (exploit), to discover the next thing (conquer), to work until you drop (for the man). Is it any wonder then that we do not slow down or pause and reflect? To do so isn't even encouraged, if you do people will ask, "what's the matter with you?"

What the matter is, what this all has to do with, is soul loss. Disconnection with your soul. We are as a culture suffering from it. We cannot go on the way we have been, it is bound to create a crisis within. It manifests in various forms, as physical illness, a business failing, losing your job, a marriage breaking up. We think these events are just fate, coincidence, bad luck, unfortunate yes but things that happen to everyone in one way or another. To some extent this is true, but in the larger sense what is going on is simply put a disconnect between your mind and your soul.

How to fix such a thing is both easy and yet challenging. First, we stop and reflect. No more of this racing through to get things done business, It is not working. For a time now the old belief systems that held together the world worked, they could only bring us so far though, now we are as a species evolving. American or not we are all coming out of a long sleep and the old ways of thinking are no longer enough. We search for something, we know to do so instinctively, we are calling back our souls.

I remember reading Eckert Tolle's, The Power of Now in the late 90's, new to my spiritual path I understood it conceptually, but I had a very hard time living it. To live in the moment means to let go of the past, and to not project out into the future. To just be here now. This is the opposite of what we have been taught for it fosters inner peace not drive and ambition. Drive and ambition are in no way negative we all need these qualities but is it best for these feelings to be the dominant ones within your inner landscape? Would it not be more conducive to overall well being to have peace at your inner core?

Being present means to be content with wherever you are at right now. Let's talk about that for a moment, where you are now is exactly where you need to be. Don't like it, change it. Look within and guess what, you can only do so in the present moment. You can't look inward when you are dwelling in the past or planning for tomorrow. We only have this moment now, be in it. Stop letting the moments that make up your life pass by. We do so by projecting into the past or future and before we know it years and even our entire lifetime has passed us by. Think of it, where were you ten years ago? What were your thoughts? What were your days made out of? How fast has the ten years gone by? When we are trapped in the illusion of time we always feel we do not have enough of it. Time seems to speed by and our perception of lack of it grows. This doesn't happen in the present moment why the reason is because in that space you have stepped outside of time. Try it, for just a few seconds, be fully present, notice the stillness, let go, close your eyes. How do you feel? Try opening your eyes and looking around you, see your surroundings with present eyes, don't send your thoughts into the future or past. Everything your eyes rest upon is given meaning by you, the clock means what it means because of your thoughts associated with it. The window and the tree outside, the fence beyond, the sky beyond that, the soft wind it is all given meaning by your observation, by you witnessing it and defining it as you have. We do this all day long subconsciously now try to do it consciously. What is the tree really? A life force, energy, or whatever you perceive it to be. This is an undoing of the way you see things, to notice them as they are not as you would define them, To understand too that we define everything. This means that everything you see, indeed all the things you perceive are able to be altered, to perceived in a new way. This way of thinking can transform your life and all the things in it including you.

What are you doing now? Why are you doing it? Most importantly how are you doing it? These are the questions to stop and ask yourself next time you catch yourself in a busy blur of not so meaningful activity.

The Truth About Psychics

Recently I tried to set up a store on my website, I offer intuitive readings and spiritual guidance. I also plan on offering ebooks with different spiritual themes. I have an etsy store but wanted my own site for people to go and the store was an after thought really once I saw it was an option. Well, sadly a week later I was told that my store is a "prohibited business" and I had to take it down. Not by the web host but by the company that handles the transactions. Here is a link to their list of prohibited businesses. I am a psychic and that is my "crime". I do not even consider myself a psychic, I am an intuitive, the difference being a slight variation in the way I receive information and more importantly the word psychic has terrible stigma attached to it.

So, now I am lumped into this seedy list of prohibited businesses, weapons dealers, pornographic services, marijuana dispensaries, door to door sales, airlines, bail bonds, counterfeit products, mail order brides, pseudo pharmaceuticals, selling social media activity such as likes on fb, gambling and there's me psychic services. Some of these are bad some of these are laughable, who made this list?

What it comes down to is that very stigma attached with the word "psychic". I literally cringe at calling myself that at times because it is associated with fakes, scam artists and smacks of inauthenticity. It's true that many, many people are not qualified to give readings and do. Those old seances to connect with the dead where the table wold raise up because some moron was underneath it or they had somehow else rigged it makes me laugh. yet it did terrible things for the profession. yet, there have always been and always will be people with sight who can easily enough give the desired information, answer questions, bring in guidance talk to departed loved ones. They usually don't do it for an astronomical fee just enough to live on like anyone else making their way in the world.

If you are skeptical about psychics, mediums and intuitives like myself you should be. There are many who purport to have such abilities but do not. If you are interested in having a reading but aren't sure about it, look for a few signs.

The reader should only need a little information name and birthdate are usually all I ask for. If a question is confusing to me I might ask for some background information but I like to keep this at a minimum. If a psychic is asking you questions beyond the very basics of your question they may be fishing for clues on what to tell you.

The reader gives you vague answers that could be true of anyone. While some guidance is good for everyone it should certainly be applicable to your situation and it it should always accompany guidance that is personalized. Many times when I do a reading I get personal information such as life purpose, past lives, distinctive personality traits. For the reader these sorts of things help you know that you are in the persons energy and really rolling along with the reading and for the querent it is a sign that you are getting authentic information.

The reader tells you only positive things. A reading is meant to be a positive and uplifting experience of course but at times answers to questions aren't the ones the client probably wants to hear. Still, it is the duty of the reader to report whatever they receive good or bad of course with added guidance to help them through the trouble. An inauthentic reader will often say dazzling, unfounded things because they think it is what you want to hear.

Or my favorite, they say there is a curse on you and that you must keep coming back to them in order to lift it. A true reader would never say you have a curse on you because there really are no such things. We have a storehouse of personal power and curses are not able to affect us unless we allow them to. Run the other way if a reader starts talking about curses.

If you want an authentic reading here is my etsy shop I promise to give an honest, truthful, personalized reading, reporting all the information as it comes in and in a timely manner.

It might also help you to now I have met more authentic "psychics" then inauthentic ones, people who do this work as a calling because they truly want to help people and feel compelled to do so because of their abilities.

Blessings,
Jocelyn Joy

Past Lives, Who Was I? Why Did I Come Back?

Have I lived before? Who was I? Why do I keep coming back? Have I known the same people I know now as I did in the past?

These are big questions and very important ones. Not to step on anyone's religious toes :) but from what I have seen doing readings and working with guides for many years now, everyone has had past lives. I am sure there are exceptions, I personally however, have not yet seen one. For the most part, we do come back and we do it frequently. This then begs the questions, why?

We come back to get it right simply put, to perfect our souls. Of course, they are already perfect, this is true, but we all must reach a state of enlightenment, a point of evolution where we no longer need to exist in bodies at all. Many people have already achieved this but return in order to help others achieve the same goal. Ultimately, the wheel of karma keeps turning until every soul reaches enlightenment. We are in this together all the way.

As for who you were, this question has many answers, for we have lived many, hundreds or even thousands of lives. Chances are if you feel a draw to a certain time period, country, culture or historical event you are likely remembering a past life. Individually, we come back for many reasons. Most of the time we have unfinished business with people and so we build our life plans around tying those loose ends up. Unfortunately, even the best plans can and do run into some trouble, once we get here to the playing field of life we don't always follow the plan. We get distracted, we get pulled into other directions, we fall into low energy patterns such as alcohol, drug abuse, or other addictions. We can be abused, traumatized, or in other ways damaged so that we are too wounded to try to live out our souls plan. These events result in carry over which means that from lifetime to lifetime we can carry over traumas and other memories that are in need of our attention. Therefore, today, you can still be carrying a wound that you incurred in lets say France during their revolution, perhaps you were part of a peasant revolt and you were killed. While the revolt was an important political event chances are you had a life that didn't revolve around that revolt and it all suddenly ended because of that external factor. Now the people, lessons, plans you had for that lifetime need to be planned again in order for you to finish what you had started. We share many lives with the same people, but it is not limited to a certain group. Anytime your life is cut short by an external factor, a famine, an act of nature such as a volcanic eruption, tsunami, earthquake, fire, and so on, you are murdered, you die of an illness such as the plague, yellow fever, influenza or any of the variety of deadly pathogens we have seen throughout history, these events cut short what we had planned. Many times they will create fears in our present life that we do not understand. Someone who died of food poisoning can have a phobia around germs or food being tainted. They may have digestion problems and other physical symptoms as well. All carried over from the past. If you have a fear of water you may have drowned or otherwise traumatized by water in a past life. A fear of public speaking can have ties back to lifetimes where you were persecuted for your beliefs. You can begin to see the intricate web of connectivity between the past and the present. Imagine, just the baggage you have picked up from this lifetime, now stop and think of all the baggage you are potentially carrying from past lives. All the memories, habits, experiences, all the joy and all the pain. This is why we come in with a sort of amnesia over our past lives. We cannot even truly fathom where and who we have been. Yet, there is carry over in the subconscious that we cannot hide from, it affects us even though we are not aware of its existence at all. Many of your bad habits, beliefs, attitudes and preferences do not come from this lifetime at all, they come from your past lives because who you were is embedded so deeply into your souls consciousness that it can never be erased. It is sitting there, a perfect record of everything you have ever seen, done, lived through and all the feelings that go along with that.

In fact, there is a place where all of this memory is stored, outside of our souls consciousness a place where everyone's memories are stored along with records of everything that has ever happened. The Akashic Records. This storehouse of knowledge is located on the other side, it is accessible to anyone who can enter it, with training I believe we can all enter it. When I first visited the Akashic I was only given access to a small part of it. Later, I was given access to much more and I was shocked to see the immensity of this library, where rows and rows of "books" exist in a multi-leveled building. There are still parts I am sure I have yet to see, it is that vast. When I do an Akashic Reading I ask to see a person's individual record, their book of life. I am then able to view this file of sorts and read it, generally what will come up is the most relevant information to the person. A past life or two and perhaps some information about overarching themes or lessons that need to be known.

If this sounds like a journey you would like to take click here this will bring you to my shop and the listing for my Akashic Reading, featured and on sale this week.

A Call For Peace

With all the upsetting events in the world today I feel compelled to write a brief spiritual explanation mainly to help myself process everything if this helps anyone else then my endeavor is not entirely without purpose. If you look to history there has always been violence and intolerance. It doesn't matter so much the time or the culture, examples in the ancient world or the modern world are prevalent. We can think of countless examples to bolster such points but what is going on at a spiritual level? There is the clashing of power, the drive for it is something quite yearned for by young souls. Young souls identify with nations and organized religions as sources of identity and strength. Older souls see the futility of such endeavors but are still caught up in the display of events. World events appear to me, to repeat themselves in varying degrees as if they are continual lessons that everyone must take until finally the last of us has had enough.

Have we not had enough?

Why the attack on people who are "different" for being the "wrong" race, gender, having a certain political or religious affiliation, sexual orientation, pick your intolerance? Why? The answer is fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of change. If we accept one intolerance then we will have to accept them all and god forbid we do something like that. Fear is a great motivator it keeps people in order the powers that be understand this and they perpetuate fear. But you do not have to listen. You do not have to subscribe to their fear mongering agenda another moment. If there is anything in you that feels that it is wrong to judge anyone for their own personal beliefs, lifestyle, religious practices and so on then follow that feeling. Run with it, take off and change break away from the herd. The world needs you to.

Intolerance must end.

Today can be a day like any other or if you decide it can be a day where you decide to change, on the inside.A day where you decide that you personally, will no longer tolerate the obscene hate filled agenda of the masses. No matter how it is manifesting, through police violence, war, bullying, a racist comment, or the passing down for one generation to the next of a mindset of fear; decide today to no longer accept this. That you are disgusted with this old way of being, you see the power struggle built within and it is no longer ok. It simply no longer resonates with who you are.

One person at a time.

It happens just like that one person deciding that we can't go on this way any longer. One person deciding to choose love over hate,  courage over fear. One person leading by example in small ways, large ways, in any way we can.

Make the decision to change.

Next week will mark the 51st anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr's I Have a Dream speech delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. His dream was about racial harmony, but his transmission, the essence of what he was communicating was about total equality, radical  acceptance and absolute harmony for all. His soul was communicating to us these high ideals, a true potential for humanity. It was about letting go of the need for power and surrendering to a higher power. Allowing that to guide us rather than our fears, our hate, our need to be right, to win. Martin Luther King was a visionary and he was killed for it. If that isn't enough to make you want to change I don't know what is.

Peace+Love+Harmony

What Is Your Life Purpose?

When I was first on my spiritual path, I remember being gripped by the desire to know what my reason for coming here was, what is my life purpose? I read books on the topic, articles, meditated to get answers. I wanted to know what my individual purpose was, my own challenges, goals and reasons for being here. It can be difficult to find this out for yourself, any reading for yourself can be challenging but at this time I was not practiced in readings at all, I just wanted to know!

I was fascinated by the idea of having a reason for being here. I wanted to make sure that I got busy and did whatever work it was that had brought me here. It wasn't enough to trust I would just be doing it because the truth was at that time in my life I really didn't feel as if I was doing what I was meant to do. That was why I was so curious to find out.

As I learned, we all have a purpose for being here. These purposes are shaped by many things. The unique karmic residue we come in with, the goals we wish to attain, the people we have included in our lives and the lessons we must go through. While a life purpose is usually not likely to change in a lifetime we can move through them and onto something else, we usually reach different levels within them rather than to complete them. Some people have them written in their chart as a word or group of words, such as counselor, caretaker, musician, healer. Others will only have the general field such as, healing profession, music, children. This is because we choose whether we want to fine tune our purpose or leave it open for interpretation once we are here.

Life purposes, despite popular belief, do not necessarily have to consist of your job, you may have a job that hasn't got much to do with your life purpose but you have a hobby that you feel absolutely passionate about. Wherever your passion lies that is where your life purpose is contained. It is up to each individual if they want to make their passion into their profession. For some they are content with having a job and then a passionate hobby for others it is not enough. It is likely written into the life chart as an option to make the dream go big if that is what is meant to be, but even still we do not always listen to our own inner urgings.

Life Purposes are by their very definition complex and organic. They do not fit into any rules each purpose is a result of your many experiences, your plans for this lifetime, your dreams and your goals. It can be a bit daunting to set out and achieve these aspirations but it is well worth your efforts.

When I do a life purpose reading I look into the individuals life chart and read what they have written for this lifetime. What their life purpose is, how it translates into their lives and whether or not I see any blocks in the way of them achieving these goals. It can be helpful to gain such clarity, I wish I had the opportunity for someone to tell me these things when I was new to the path and so I offer this to you. If you are interested go here for your Life Purpose Email Reading. I will tell you not only what it is but guidance on what may be blocking you from aligning with it.

Have a great week,
Blessings,
Joy

Soulmate Love

One of the most commonly asked questions that comes up in my readings is about soulmates. When will I find him/her? Am I with my soulmate? Was my ex my soulmate and I am destined to be alone now? These are all valid concerns. So, let's talk a little bit about soulmates.

First, we must understand what a soulmate is and what it is not. Let us assume for the sake of argument that I am speaking in terms of romance when I refer to soulmates because in truth we can have soulmates that are our friends, relatives or even our animal companions. Romantically speaking, a soulmate is a person that you usually feel an instant affinity towards. You have a lot in common, share similar interests and you are compatible. For the most part! Often soulmates will fall in love quickly, almost as if they are picking up where they left off and many times they have indeed known one another in past lives. This is the essence of the soulmate connection, that your souls are mates, meaning you have met up before, in another time and place, possible more than once.

A soulmate is not someone who is perfect. You will not suddenly shed all of your bad habits within a relationship just because you have met your soulmate, nor will they. Like any other relationship it takes work and it takes your both being healthy people, particularly emotionally. We tend to use relationships to grow and heal past wounds. Therefore if you have not addressed long standing wounds they will surface in any relationship soulmate or not. Finally, although in some cases this is an exception, most people have more than one soulmate, romantically and otherwise. Think of all the past lives we have all lived through, chances are we have loved intensely in most of them or even we can say half of them. I usually see people having at least a few hundred lives, although this does vary. Therefore based on an average persons past activity they have loved deeply and passionately 150 times in the past. Some people might argue that it is the same soulmate pair coming back again and again. I do just do not see this in the readings, it could happen but I have yet to see it. Usually there is a past life or two maybe more that two people shared that create this magnetic attraction we call soulmate love.

Why the strong attraction? Soulmate relationships are often intense and passionate they sweep you off your feet and can be all consuming. Not that you can't fall in love in this manner with someone you don't have a soulmate connection with, you can, we all do. With soulmates however, the fact that you have done this before is an added element of attraction and desire. The desire stems from whatever it was in the past that did not get finished. This unfinished business is important to your soul, and when a person from your past walks onto the stage of your life your soul sends all sorts of signals for you to notice and respond. This is almost always charted, meaning that the two soulmate souls have previously planned to come together and work out whatever it was that was unfinished. There are times too when people just plan to meet again and spend time together once more, to carry over not so much unfinished business but simply the desire to be together again. There are still other occurrences where the two people planned to merely meet briefly, to check up on one another. These reasons are why soulmates feel so irresistible and we are compelled to find them.

If you are looking for your soulmate or want to know if the one you are with is a soulmate, try out my Soulmate Love Email Reading. It is featured this week in my Etsy shop and it's on sale!

Happy Loving!

Sending Out An S.O.S. for Spiritual Help

We've all been there, when it feels like the world is caving in on you. Everything that can go wrong has, your car breaks down, your relationship sucks and the dog just had an accident on your new shoes. It often seems like bad luck hits us in heaps and it can really cause a person to feel picked on. It makes you feel alone, forgotten and utterly frustrated at life. This is the time to send out an SOS, the spiritual kind.

I have learned from doing professional intuitive readings, I am not the only person with problems, everyone has them. People come to me with their problems, dilemmas, life long issues, and other related questions and I professionally send out an SOS and get answers for them. Anytime you are feeling lost, picked on, confused or challenged by the difficulties of life you call for help too.

Not sure how to send an SOS to the spiritual realm? It's easy first pick who it is you want to ask to help you, I don't want to tread on any toes here but to give a few examples: God, Mother/Father God, Creator, Guru Rinpoche, Tara, Mary, Jesus, Kuan Yin, any Archangel (Michael is good with emergencies), Vishnu, Kali, Shiva, any animal totem of your choice. It isn't important who it is what matters is that you feel close to them. Next, reach out, send the SOS, ask for help. List your grievances, explain your probelms, worries, concerns, anger, frustration, let it all loose. then let it go and wait for answers or solutions to arrive.

This is where some people get tripped up. They go on complaining, worrying, and being angry, guilty and so on about the mess they are in and they literally block out the guidance meant to help them. Imagine being a guardian angel for someone like this, you hear their prayer, you send them an answer say in the form of a song on the radio, the song is telling them, "Come on Get Happy" or "Shake Your Groove Thing" why? It's supposed to get in and help lift the mood, so more guidance will come in. SOS's are often answered in stages because the problems that we find ourselves in are complex and we need to take a few steps to get out of the mess. The first step is always to change your mood, change the frequency you are broadcasting out to the world. If you don't you will get more of the same. So, imagine once again you are the guardian angel sitting their beside your human, frustrated because he didn't catch the radio sign. Ok you say I will send him a sign in a dream. So you create an elaborate dream with just the words of guidance he needs to hear and what happens? He stayed up late watching netflix and now he has overslept and is late for work and doesn't have the time to eat breakfast let alone remember his dream. Okay 0-2 one more chance you, the guardian angel, tries a more blunt technique this time, while in the elevator at work you inspire someone to say to her friend the exact guidance your human needs to hear. Finally this time he hears it. He even thinks about it as he walks to his desk, then as he sits down at his computer he gets distracted by an email about online dating. He thinks to himself, I will find someone else to share my misery with... Don't be this guy! Once you have sent out an SOS, stop the mental barrage of thoughts about the situation. They will only drown out the signs that are trying to get through.

Next step, once you receive the guidance don't shrug it off! Follow the guidance and more will come. Don't expect your answer to come in a certain form, that is another way that people end up thinking they aren't being heard because when they asked for a raise it didn't come. They may have been given signs for a solid week about a different job that would be far more financially lucrative but went unheard and unseen because the person decided what the outcome of their prayer would be a raise at this job. That isn't how it works all of the time. Sometimes the answer to our SOS is a big change and we can shut out those answers out of fear of change. This is a common occurrence so be open to what you are receiving and if your answers are indicating big changes then pray for help to have the courage to handle them. Pray for it to come in smaller stages and for the process to be one of great peace and joy. Finally, and this is the most important of all steps, trust that the guidance is never ending that you can continue to ask and receive always. That there is an open connection between you and source and not only are you heard but you are answered.  The spiritual help SOS is a line that is always open no matter what time day or night and it is yours to use as often as you require.

The Wall

For anyone that has done a little inner work you will know what I mean by the wall or often walls. Those pesky things that get in the way of our progress as we reach towards our goals of healing and spiritual progress. Why do they exist? What are they made of? Most of all how can we get through them and live a more uninterrupted life one where the energies of life flow through us and without any obstacles.

These are important questions. I remember seeing my first wall in someone else. It was a boyfriend I loved very much and no matter how much I loved him, he wouldn't let me past his walls. It didn't occur to me until later that I too had walls. Most of us do, I am pretty sure all of us do in some areas unless of course we have worked very hard at healing them.

Why do they exist? That's probably the easiest of the questions, because we want to keep people out. Depending on the size and width of the wall we may want to keep everyone out or just some people. Kind of like having a public or private setting on a social media account. However, we are often not even aware of our walls let alone who we are keeping out because of them.

What are they made of? Traumas, emotional blocks, fears, egoic energy that pretends to be protecting us but is really cutting us off from others and from source. Walls feel like static energy and when you hit one in yourself or another person you will get defensive behavior and resistance. In yourself you will come up with all sorts of reasons why you are behaving this way but in the end if you are resisting something, fearful of it and acting defensive about why you are behaving in this way, it's a wall.

How can we get through them? Here's the important part, how indeed do we move through a wall, let it go, release it. Remember you don't want to label anything in yourself as bad, it is best to accept it even if it is painful and not to reject it. If it is rejected it will only come back in some other way to try for healing and acceptance again. There is the wall, you have identified it you have some idea of what it is made of but you are not sure how to move past it. What the walls within us need the most is for us to see them, for us to observe what we are doing. To see that oh here is some part of myself I have cut off. Why did I do that? I am sure at one time there was a good reason but now it is time to accept this part of yourself once more and to tear down the wall. So that the flow of life can move smoothly through you once again. To do this first you observe, then you accept, next you heal. Healing comes in different forms for different people. Furthermore, the healing that you go through over one trauma may be different than another one. The important thing is to stay open to the process. In order to heal a wall that is made up of trust issues you will have to slowly let down your guard and start making efforts at communicating, sharing and being active with other people. If you have a wall of fear around success you will want to start off by putting yourself out there in small, safe ways to test the waters. Building upon small successes will give you confidence to believe in yourself little by little. If you have a wall of lack, say around making money visualize yourself receiving vast amounts of abundance. Notice any resistance, if there is some gently tell yourself that you are worthy of receiving this. The interesting thing is that you will often uncover within one wall many layers. If you have a wall of lack which creates a shortage in your life often it is because as a child you were told you were not worthy. Even well meaning parents might say something like,'people like us' (insert negative comment). This teaches that you aren't the same as everyone else and whatever it was love, money, social acceptance you are not supposed to be able to have it, and this is cemented into your subconscious. These patterns can be hard to break they are walls for a reason. They have been created by years of hard thoughts, countless thoughts layered one upon another like bricks. Yet you are the only one who can move through them. It is with your thoughts, your efforts at change, your ability to believe in something better, that healing can and will come to you that is what ultimately will move you through any wall once and for all. It takes time patience and dedication but it can happen.

Remember the formula: observe it + accept it + heal it = wall disintegration

How to Become Intuitive/Psychic/Calirvoyant

Let me start at the beginning, we are all intuitive. We all have the ability to tune into a sixth sense that guides us, informs and tells us answers to whatever we want to know. The problem is many of us do not trust or even listen to it. We all have guidance around us, I have never done a reading for someone and seen nothing around them, they may have pushed their guides away but they are still there waiting and in any way possible doing their jobs. If you want to increase your own intuitive abilities then, the best way to do so is to stop doubting and start trusting in yourself.

Intuitive-Psychic-Clairvoyant

I am sure many people have different definitions than I do for these words so for the sake of clarity I will briefly explore their definitions. According to Websters online:

Intuitive- having the ability to know or understand things without any proof or evidence: having or characterized by having intuition

Psychic- used to describe strange mental powers and abilities... that cannot be explained by natural laws

Clairvoyant- able to see beyond the range of ordinary perception

Ok so we see that while there are some slight variations these words all describe having the ability to see a little more than the ordinary person can see.

Having a sixth sense is mainly about two things, 1) Quieting your mind in order to receive information and 2) Working out your intuitive muscle. So, just like when you lift weights to build muscle here you will be doing the same thing, exercising your psychic abilities. Practice makes your intuitive abilities stronger and more reliable. before you can really practice you must learn to quiet your mind. The mind is an incredible distracting force it can also get in the way by casting doubt or saying disparaging things such as, "you can't do this", "this is all in your head" and so on. Everyone goes through this in the beginning it's normal. Western civilization does not covet such abilities and when we experience them we are taught to believe it is just our imaginations. It is a wonder that anyone breaks through all this negative programming to do so takes conviction and courage but you can do it!

First ask to be surrounded by the White Light of the Holy Spirit, or ask a specific Archangel such as Archangel Michael to join you and give protection. To quite your mind try some simple meditation techniques. Deep breathing, relaxation, and gentle visualization can all help you to stop the incessant chatter of the mind. Next, once you feel suitably relaxed ask your question, for example, "What is My Life Purpose?", or, "Who is My Spirit Guide?"
Sometimes, it can be easier to ask about someone else, "Who is my Daughter's Spirit Guide?",or, "What is My Brother's Life Purpose?". Ask whatever you want to know, you might ask something very simple that requires a yes or no answer, "Should I go out with _____?", or "Should I ask for a Promotion Now?"

Next comes the working your intuitive muscle part. Ask your question and then take a deep breathe and clear your mind, it is the first answer that comes in that will be the most reliable. After that you may start second guessing. You may hear a name given in response to a question about a guide, or a yes or no response. It may accompany a feeling as well such as a feeling of love if it is the name of a guide or a feeling of certainty over a yes or no question. Once you get a little more practiced at going into the "energy", as I call it, of a question you will discover layers of answers. There are a lot of details that come at you when asking a question and it takes practice at sorting it all out and relaying it. If you are doing a reading for another person be sure to give them all the information you are seeing even if it doesn't make sense to you because it usually makes sense to them. Even if at that time it doesn't make sense it often will later. Make sure you are working with a safe person that will give you positive feedback not a cynic, save that for later, after you are more practiced!

Another thing to note is that some people receive answers by hearing words, not so much in your ear but more in your mind. Others receive images, others receive feelings while still others can experience smells or other sensations. This is part of your working out your intuitive muscle you will learn what your ability is, how you receive your information. Everyone is different and most people can pick up information in a couple different ways. I have a close find who has always been able to smell spirits especially those of her departed relatives, she'll pick up a fragrance from perfume that the person wore, or cigar smoke. To me that is miraculous as I get images and sometimes words but not smells. Learn about what you're unique abilities are and experiment with them.

Always remember to surround yourself with protective energies first and make sure that you are in a stable emotional state before doing this practice, it just makes for better and more reliable results. The more you practice the better you will become. Don't get discouraged if it it takes some time, it can take years to really build the intuitive muscle but once you start you will notice a shift and new doors will open!

The Other Side

Where do we go when this life ends? It's a big question no one really knows the answer to be certain. Yet, through many readings and personal meditations I have glimpsed at least a few of the different realms we may inhabit after we transition. I am in no way an expert on this topic, I believe that none of us truly can be until we have crossed over thus rendering the whole point moot. I am continually learning and endlessly fascinated by this topic and if you are too then allow me to share with you what I have received over time about life on the other side.

It is not something I take lightly or even feel entirely comfortable discussing because many religious beliefs dictate what someone may or may not believe about the afterlife. I don't want to tread on any toes here. I simply present my findings for you to take or leave.

From what I have seen through readings where clients have asked to connect with someone who has transitioned, if the person has transitioned very recently there is more of the personality that they had in the body still with them. They are almost exactly as they appeared while in the body and they are often receiving healing or counseling for the emotional traumas they may have went through in life. Particularly in cases of murder, severe illness or suicide there will be a lot of healers around the person as they help them release the traumas and acclimate themselves to being home again. This takes a different amount of time for each person. If a person had a lingering illness or they were in a coma they may have already been through this process as people in those states often travel to the other side in preparation for their transition. People who die more suddenly need more time to acclimate. No matter how long this process takes, eventually, all people will feel very different in their energy, they are generally very blissful, busy in activities and expanded as they have let go of the personality that they had in the body and added new dimensions to it from their collective experiences of past lives as well as their own spirit/soul.

We do work after we leave this lifetime, we are very engaged in many activities. There are different realms on the other side, some purelands, some from other planetary systems and I have understood there to be realms of limbo, not so much punishing places but places where souls can get lost. So much depends on your beliefs and attachments at the time of your death. That however is a topic for another discussion we are focusing on what we do once we are there. The options are endless. I have seen glimpses of an entire world over there. I do not think that our understanding as it is can fully grasp or comprehend the staggering vastness of what awaits. There is one realm I see the most, it is a rather earth-like place where from what I can tell people do what they love most. There are areas of music, drama, art. I have seen and heard concerts and lectures. there are parks, buildings, animals, the sky is blue and the people look as they did on earth only everyone except a few are younger in appearance (generally in their 30's). They are healthy, vibrant and very much alive looking. Solid and real. There are flowers and water, even food and drink but it isn't required not having a body. There are schools and universities, research and development.

Many people choose to work with the incarnated. I have seen these "professions" many times and yet I sense there are many, many more I have yet to stumble upon in a reading. Some of the professions I have learned of are; Counselor for New Arrivals, Incarnates Returning Home, Counselors for soon to be Incarnates, Life Charting, Energy Worker Assisting Incarnates at World Level, Energy Worker for Assisting Non-Incarnates at Inter-Dimensional Level, and of course Spirit Guides, those who have agreed to work with an incarnate through usually most of their lifetime. There are other jobs not related so much to incarnates such as; Anthropologist, Astronomer, Animal Research (no harm comes to animals as they do not have a body), Musician, Artist, Teacher and Writer. These are merely the jobs I have actually unearthed in readings there are as many fields as there are here and more beyond. What I have learned is that when a person works in a certain area on the other side they can do two things with that knowledge; pass it on to incarnates via inspiration and guidance or incarnate themselves and plan to work in that field. However, that being said just because you are a musician on the other side does not mean you will necessarily be one in this lifetime. We live hundreds, sometimes thousands of lives imagine being a musician in each one! Our souls must have a variety of experiences in order to grow so likely that soul would have lifetimes where they were something else other than a musician yet there would probably be a strong pull towards music and perhaps it would be a hobby. There are times too where we will come in as the exact opposite of what we really are to experience that yet the soul of a musician would likely find an outlet in some other art-form to channel the inherent inspiration and divine connection that they are accustomed to.

All in all we live very rich and complex lives after we leave this one. We may choose to continue that work once we return or for many people there will be more lifetimes as they grow and expand their experiences. For older souls, there is often a need to spend more and more time at home in between lifetimes. As your soul gets older it must go through more when it incarnates, healing old karma, wounds, deep habitual patterns. It can be taxing and therefore more time is needed between visits. Although with each person this may vary. Younger souls seem to have more enthusiasm and eagerness in coming here and in reincarnating. They want to grow and have personal experiences and work through all the different levels of soul growth. Similar to how we feel when we start college or a new job we are very excited in the beginning but after time with experience comes a settling down of the whole being, as experience brings wisdom and transmutes the earlier ambitions into ones of a more universal reach.

That is what the other side is really about the continuation of our growth. We have many stopping points along the way we never are pushed, we go at our own rate. We come back as many times as we need to and we make the most of our time in between visits. We are always growing and expanding, exploring and learning. that is what the nature of the soul is, it is curiosity, joy, action but also deep peace and most of all love. And that is what we can say the other side is mainly about it is a place of gentle and unending love.

Being Intuitive

The thing about being intuitive, you would think it would really give you a distinct advantage in life. I guess in some ways it does, I can ask for guidance in matters I am stuck in. It sure helps when you lose an item or need to check in on someones intentions. Yet, there are many other areas in life where, at least for me, being intuitive hasn't given me any advantages. For example I can't pick winning lottery numbers or who is going to win a baseball/basketball/football game before I watch it. I guess there are just those things we are not meant to know! That aside, when I started doing readings it was with tarot cards. I didn't have to use much but my mind to do that because the cards had meanings already. Yet, I did start to use my intuitive abilities when I would tap into what all the cards in a spread meant together. That is where the magic starts. I next learned how to do past life readings, where was this information coming from? I was tapping into it, that is one way I explain what I do I tap into energy and read it.

Everything is energy, so to tap into it is something we can all do. I don't have any special abilities other than this, I trained myself to focus on second sight. I was so intrigued by the idea of learning about past lives, that I began to study meditation, practice it and eventually developed the ability to go to the Akashic Hall of Records and read what was there. Through many years I grew and honed this ability. Anyone who is focused and determined can do it. In fact, I would argue that anyone that has a strong desire to be able to read energy is likely someone who will take to it rather quickly. The most difficult challenge is confidence and understanding that while you are intuitive, you can read situations, people and so on you are not always going to be given what the person you are reading for wants to hear. If a client asks a vague question they get a vague answer. The details they may have wanted won't come though. Another important thing to understand is that while you can "predict" the future as it stands today you must also account for the millions of variables present in all situations that can and will alter what you see today. Additionally, if there are energy blocks or some other obstacle we can delay a future path. Free will of others will often cause things to go awry. Once I learned from a psychic teacher that for the most part there aren't supposed to be any murders. That a large majority of the time when someone is murdered it was not their plan, their life was literally cut short including all the plans and goals they had for coming here. This sent my mind racing, other than those who planned it, a small percentage apparently, we can be so interrupted in our life path that we actually die at the hands of another's free will. It is a powerful example in how a future path can be changed by someone else. All of this must be understood when tapping in on energy or else you may doubt yourself. Mainly, what you will learn is there is always more to learn. Be open to that, to taking in new information that may even cancel out old information. We live, we grow, we learn, we evolve.

One thing I find challenging with clients is when they come back and say hey I haven't found the Mr./Ms right like you said I would or I haven't made the money, found the dream job you said I would, etc. Again, no future is certain but what I always say to a query such as that is, why not? It was there and now it has been blocked, why is that? When I give a reading that talks about the future there are often low roads and high roads this means a path that is either of a higher nature or of a lower one. If we walk the lower path we will expedience more obstacles, delays and hardships than the higher one. I generally lay out both because I don't want to try to sell a glossy, rosy future when we all know as brilliants souls inhabiting human bodies both paths exist. Guidance is usually given too about any blocks or obstacles that I can foresee and how to deal with them. If there was one area I wish I could expand on the most it is in how to heal those blocks. Emotional blocks, traumas, unhealthy habits of the mind they all keep us locked in a cycle of sameness. Meaning you won't walk that higher path if you don't break the habit of the one you are on now.

Being intuitive means many things, above all else I think it means being open and sensitive to the energies around us. We all can do that, it just takes focus and dedication to develop and trust in this inherent ability.

Happy tapping!

Energy Blocks

So, I opened a new shop on etsy, and it has been quite an interesting experience. I love adding all the new readings, being able to offer coupons (promo codes) and seeing what everyone else on etsy is selling. It's like a little world in there. I'm getting a lot of traffic but not too many sales yet. Still, I know I am being impatient and that it takes time to build an etsy presence.

What I really want to look at in this moment is how I may be blocking myself from success. Whether it's etsy or anywhere else online or in the the "real world" if we have a block/fear then what we want won't show up. I am bumping up hard against my blocks now. I am over this I want to break through and into new territory we only live once in these particular bodies with these particular circumstances and it took an awful lot to get here. Enough of the blocks and the lack!

At one time our blocks helped us, or so we believe, they kept us out of danger. If we have a block made of fear around failure then by staying stuck and never trying anything new, we don't fail. We also don't succeed! Staying in our stuck places can feel very comforting. I speak from experience I know the stuck places better than the unstuck ones unfortunately. I have dwelled in the neighborhood of stuck places for many years, don't go out wandering around at night man! Still, if you dig deep down you will find an infinite supply of inspiration, guidance, love and wherewithal. I promise, it's there I have discovered it! It is stronger than any fear you have and it can and will change your life dramatically for the better. You will heal, grow, prosper and transform once you tap into your own inner direction and power. This streaming energy comes from source, it is life force, ah the force there that makes the most sense. We must use the force.

These are my thoughts that I ponder, pondering in my empty shop dusting my wares hoping for a sale, no, visioning a sale, lots of sales and abundance and success. Why not? It's just energy but for our blocks we can all have more than enough.

Here's to living our lives and being full and content in this moment now and always.
